Law and Public Safety

Law and Public Safety is a 2 Carnegie unit program. This curriculum has been developed by teachers for teachers and is aligned to the Arizona state technical standards. Lessons are of high quality and consistent across all program areas. As Consortium members, teachers are encouraged to adjust and edit/remix them to make lessons “their own”.

Hello Law & Public Safety Group Members!

We are happy to report that a thematic unit covering 5 days for Year 2 Unit 2 Command, Control & Dispatch has been added to the previously published Year 2 Unit 1 Health & Wellness unit. Both are available for you to download, remix, and use today.

Upon completion of Unit 2, students will be able to:

explain the general chain of command for law enforcement agencies and the classroom chain of command
describe how Command, Control, and Dispatch should work together during an incident
use proper radio procedures
dispatch key information to the correct agency
interpret audible information and transform it into written information
