Law and Public Safety is a 2 Carnegie unit program. This curriculum has been developed by teachers for teachers and is aligned to the Arizona state technical standards. Lessons are of high quality and consistent across all program areas. As Consortium members, teachers are encouraged to adjust and edit/remix them to make lessons “their own”.

Hello Law & Public Safety Group Members!

We are happy to report that a thematic unit covering 7 days for Year 2 Unit 6 Private Security has been added to the CTE Curriculum Connection. It is available for you to download, remix, and use today.

In this unit, students will:

Compare and contrast the role of private security and law enforcement
Understand the components of the private security industry
Examine ethics involving personal finance
Consider work/home life balance
Research various private security jobs
Create resumes
Perform a mock security detail/assessment
