Welding Technologies is a 2 Carnegie unit program. This curriculum has been developed by teachers for teachers and is aligned to the Arizona state technical standards. Lessons are of high quality and consistent across all program areas. As Consortium members, teachers are encouraged to adjust and edit/remix them to make lessons “their own”.

Two New Welding Technologies Units Published

Hello Welding Technologies Group Members!

We are happy to report that two new units have been published to the CTE Curriculum Connection. These units cover 84 days of instruction and are available to download, remix, and use.

Unit 4 SMAW Surfacing Welds includes:

SMAW introduction, equipment and safety
Electrical current and arc
Welding currents
SMAW DCEP
SMAW Polarity DCEN
AWS Electrode Classification for SMAW

Unit 5 SMAW Fillet and Groove Welds include:

Intro to SMAW Fillet welds
Safety, equipment setup, and PPE
Filled weld break testing
Groove welds
Groove weld flat postion
