New Teacher Resource: "Take A Stand" Template!

Dear Educators,

We're excited to announce a new resource that builds upon the "Take a Stand" Activities within the Possible Futures Career Exploration Curriculum! Introducing the Take a Stand Template.

This template allows you to create "Take a Stand" activities for any career that piques your students' interest. It leverages the familiar three-lens framework (Self, Security, Society) from Lenses on the Future, allowing students to explore careers through a holistic lens.

Benefits:

• Increased student engagement: Students can delve deeper into careers that excite them, making career exploration more personal and meaningful.

• Flexibility: Tailor to any career path, expanding your curriculum's reach.

• Reinforced learning: Enhance students' application of the Self, Security, Society framework by applying it to diverse career options.

 

Getting Started:

The Take a Stand Template is now available under the Lenses on the Future tab on the Arizona Pathways to Prosperity Hub . Simply download the template and follow the directions to create your own "Take a Stand" activities for your next lesson!

My Future Az is the Arizona Department of Education’s new career exploration and ECAP tool. My Future AZ utilizes proven technology and infrastructure from Pipeline AZ, an Arizona career development and job skills exploration platform, to offer students comprehensive resources and support to plan for their future careers. The Possible Futures Lenses on the Future Lessons align with My Future Az to support Education and Career Action Planning.

JA Inspire Career Fair

JA Inspire Virtual is more than a career fair; it brings together the business community and local schools and is designed to help launch students into their future beyond high school-- certification, college, and careers beyond. The program consists of three segments: 

(1) pre-event curriculum that may be teacher-led in the classroom, delivered via a remote learning session, or completed by students using the self-guided curriculum; 

(2) virtual career expo experience; and 

(3) post-event debrief.
